Car Transport Cost

How to lower shipping cost for a life time?

For many years shippers like you move their vehicles back and forth between Fl and Ny or even East to west. The kind of yearly movement is also the same for animals, as of such these shippers were categorized as snow birds. These snow birds would leave the area which is cold and settle in the warmer location until this cold period has ended.

By consistently moving 2, 3 or 4 times for the year, these individuals can be considered as expert shippers. However even as an expert shipper they are still being caught in the aggressive price increase when there is an increase in auto shipper's demand. The cost for shipping during peak season (when demand is at its G highest) is $1000 for cars, $1200 for SUV's, $1500 for large pickups and Hummers when being shipped on a open car carrier truck. Using an enclosed auto carrier truck is more costly, a car is $1300, Suv's are $1500, large pickups and Hummers are $2000 (also classic and sport cars).

AZ auto transport has a simple solution that will greatly reduced your shipping cost to $700 and also guarantee that rate for a lifetime. If you should continue your current way of shipping you will be spending averagely $2000 to $3000 a year shipping to and from Florida. On the other hand shipping with Az auto transport will be $1400 with a guaranteed savings between $600 to $1600. Ok so now we can say that it is not rocket science for you to make a decision as to how should you ship your vehicle.  COST OF SHIPPING A VEHICLE

The first question you'll want to answer is "What is the total
cost of shipping my car?" To get a good price, complete the QUOTE FORM or call us at 561-923-0803. The cost is derived from:

  • origin/destination - include ZIP codes if possible
  • approximate departure date
  • type of vehicle(s)
  • preferred shipping options (Open /Enclosed Truck)
Remember that the CHEAPEST PRICE is not always the best and you get what you pay for.

Car Transport OPTIONS

To get an accurate quote, make sure you understand your shipping options and what your preferences are:
  • door-to-door vs. terminal-to-terminal - For door-to-door shipping, the car carrier picks-up your vehicle at your home or workplace and delivers your vehicle to your final destination. For terminal-to-terminal shipping, you deliver your vehicle to a vehicle storage location where the car carrier will then pick up your vehicle. Then it is delivered to a similar type of location near your final destination.
  • open or enclosed - Open transport is the less expensive and most common way to ship a vehicle. Enclosed transport is typically priced higher, and it protects your vehicle from dust, rain, snow and other elements. High-end vehicles are sometimes shipped enclosed.
  • operable or inoperable - Operable vehicles can be driven onto the truck, while inoperable vehicles will require a winch or forklift to get the vehicle on the truck.

The initial quote send out by the broker/ Car transport company is likely to be the base price for shipping your vehicle on the particular route and normally does not include charges such as Tax, Tolls, Insurance and Reservation fee.

Therefore when confirming the shipping details be sure to confirm with your car transport professional that the tax, tolls, insurance and reservation fee are included in the given quote. For example, Transporting a car from
California to the East coast; NY, NJ, NC, SC, FL ect. the initial quote by email will show $1000.00 as of today 07/24/2015 but that is not the final cost. Tax, tolls, insurance and reservation varies from $150-$250 between companies and is also influence by the size vehicle.

Car Transport ENCLOSED VS OPEN TRUCKS

The type of truck used to transport your vehicle is absolutely a major factor in determining the cost of transport.
Enclosed trucks are an average 40%-60% more than the open trucks and considered to be much safer.

A-Z Auto Transport LLC
Enclosed trucks are highly recommended for customers with very expensive and classic vehicles also customers that need the extra security for their vehicle.

Open Trucks are more widely used and is more economical.

Will More Than One Truck Be Used?

Using two trucks or more will increase the final cost of shipping and it is recommended that you confirm with the company that you are using if your Car Transport will be done by one or more trucks. There are remote areas that the normal car transport trucks do not enter due to the low volume of customers and the distance to cover. For instance, in TX the main points of pickup are Houston, Austin and Dallas while El Paso is a minor area. Customer that are far away from these cities is likely to have their car shipped on two trucks. This is true for many other states including CA, ID, FL, WA,.....and many more. When using two trucks your car shipping cost may increase by 45% to 65%.

Solutions:

1. Confirm with the broker/ sales person how many trucks will be used.

2. If two trucks, confirm with the broker what will the price increase be.

3. If the increase is more than what you had budgeted or is able to finance, ask the sales person at which address will you meet the second driver if you should drive.

4. Driving your car for the required distance that would have being covered by one of the Trucks will split your cost in half.
